The Spiral Path – of Planning!

The Fourth Element of The Spiral Path is Water; associated with the cardinal direction – West. This is the place from which we voyage to the great archetypal abyss of the psyche, to recover a fundamental self. From the depths of authentic self is the best place from which to plan the course we want to take with our future endeavors; physical, spiritual, or artistic.

I don’t know about you, but I’m always seeking to refine my life’s map. I’ve made lots of twists and turns and revisions and I’m passionate about living my best most authentic life!

While I regularly review my goals and dreams, there are several times through out the year that makes it a perfect time to meditate on blessings and accomplishments, to refine or identify new goals, and to do all sorts of mental and physical de-cluttering. Goals are not just for new year’s resolutions!

Recently I spent the weekend cleaning out closets, I mopped my floors, and I’ve finished my review of my Life Manual.

My Life Manual is the big picture look at the life I’m creating for myself. It’s the master list of my goals and the strategies to accomplish them. In it, I also have collages that are like a physical or visceral cue related to each of the goals. They help me to literally ‘visualize’ my master plan.

If you don’t have a life manual of your own, I do have one I can wholeheartedly recommend. Goddess Leonie’s 2013 Create Your Incredible Year workbook, planner & calendar is an incredibly popular & useful tool to help you plan out & make happen your most incredible year.

It’s filled with pages and pages of powerful worksheets & a printable calendar to help you create your amazing new year. It’s really colorful and beautiful and I’ve used a lot of the same elements over the years in my own life manual.

My Life Map is pretty similar, but when I joined the Goddess Circle this year I was reminded again how powerful it is when you have help. The right community, one kind word just when you need it, a cherished book that you turn to over and over in your life; these little things can be incredible allies when it comes to manifesting our dreams.

It’s literally a map to guide you on your journey, towards the life of your dreams.

One of the things on my own goal list is to get my own template of my Life Manual ready to share, but until then, I’ll recommend Goddess Leonie’s.

My bigger goal is more on the creative side of things, but more on art and writing and less on dance. That’s a big one to embrace partly because putting dance on the back burner of my life is scary. I’m facing the inevitable choice of aging and slowing down on some of the physical stuff and turning inwards more.

Shifting and changing are not easy, but this is something I think has been percolating in the back of my mind.

I think I’m ready to commit, how about you?

What are your big dreams?
