Lilith Reviews- Carmen Electra’s The Lap Dance

Carmen Electra's The Lap Dance DVD

Really, I do watch a lot of mediocre DVDs so you don’t have too.

Unfortunately, I started laughing from the very beginning of Carmen Electra’s DVD. It says it’s an instructional on lap dancing, but it really should have been called “Cheesy Chair Dance Moves”.

The moves are basic, as expected from a beginner how-to DVD, but aside from being cheesy, they are done on a chair! Let me tell, doing a real lap dance, is NOTHING like dancing on a chair!

Someone needs to do a DVD addressing the challenges of getting and staying graceful while navigating all the different sizes and shapes of laps!

Carmen breaks down a simple choreography and her instruction is clear. She repeats each move and counts out for you while executing the moves, so it’s easy to follow along and get it. Each dance movement builds upon the previous, so each time you start again from the beginning you run through the whole routine.

The setting is nice, looks like somebody’s house in the Hollywood Hills or something. The music is another matter, though. Dreadful is the only word that comes to mind currently.

You can watch Carmen do the whole routine as a performance and there’s some warm up exercises she guides you through with a couple back up girls.

Overall, Carmen’s dancing is stilted and not particularly sexy. I suppose for a young woman who’s a fan of Carmen’s, this might be a nice DVD to own.

For anybody looking to seriously expand their repertoire of moves however, this really isn’t it.

You can click here on the off chance you do want to buy Carmen’s DVD on Amazon.
